A magnificent site inside and out.
Our winery lies just a few kilometres from Montepulciano near the village of Valiano. With the villa, chapel and ancient stone wine cellars, it is the very heart of Avignonesi. We welcome guests who wish to learn about winemaking, the Sangiovese grape, and our wines, as well as those guests who simply wish to relax and enjoy our top wines paired with delicious Tuscan cuisine in a beautiful setting.
Our winery tours take approximately 2 hours and include a visit to the estate vineyards, the ageing cellars and the Vinsantaia, leading visitors through the different stages of winemaking, from terroir to bottle, and conclude with a tasting of 5 wines carefully selected from the Avignonesi portfolio. In order to give special attention to each participant, tours arelimited to a maximum of 15 persons.

The tour and tasting takes approximately 2,5 hours and includes a visit to the estate vineyards, the ageing cellars and the Vinsantaia, leading visitors through the different stages of viticulture and winemaking specific to Sangiovese.
We conclude with an exclusive theme tasting aimed at exploring the characteristics of Sangiovese in the wines of the classic “Toscana Trio” Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and how they have found new expressions in the so-called Supertuscan wines.
