The winery tour was very informative. Really got to appreciate what the winery has done to improve the soil and their organic and biodynamic way of farming. Then we were shown to the terrace for lunch. The view is stunning. The food was fantastic. Their balsamic vinegar and olive oil are delicious. The wines paired with the food needless to say were great. My favourites are the La Tonda and their Vin Santo. Must visit.
This is a must while in Tuscany! Go for the wine and lunch pairing. The wine tour was awesome - we have been to a lot of wineries but never seen anything like this one. The lunch was farm to table, so fresh and paired with their wines. The ambience and service were incredible. Wines were tasty, food was amazing and we really enjoyed our time here. Make a trip and you won’t regret it!
We happened to be close by and found our way to Avignonesi for a wine tasting nestled between Tuscany’s rolling hills and characteristic pines. The wine and vin santo takes your mouth on a journey while your eyes attempt to take it all in. Then you learn all the estate is doing to love the earth as much as it loves us developing biodynamic ecosystems and then you realize you have fallen in love.
